Here, I reported one of .rarest disease, elongated styloid process.
Patient was 27 year old woman, Who had suffered from the chief complaint of foreign sensation on pharyngo-larynx since 2years ago. At first, she was diagnosed as foreign body of palatine tonsil, and got tonsillectomy.
The Elongated styloid process was discovered spontaneously by digital palpation of the -left palatine tonsil fossa at the end stage of the operation. The ressected styloid process was,2.5cm in it´s length and shaped hook form.
The operation wound was healed by first intention for five days an the foreign body sensation of pharyngo-larynx was completely disappeared.
In the other side of palatine tonsil fossa, I couldn´t find out any. deformity of the styloid process.
